Happy and Prosperous Vishu to all Beloved Devotees!

Vishu is the festival of Gratitude. Our culture teaches us to become humble before God and God’s nature.Today whatever we are doing, all our progress and existence are possible only by the grace of God and nature.

Indian Scriptures and Masters teach us that God is not some where out side, but God is the “inner conscious space where our mind wakes up, experiences and disappears”. To express our gratitude and love we keep Lord Krishna’s idol in the Vishukkani. Krishna means Athma, the Self in every one (Bhagavad Gita 10th chapter 20th sloka).

Besides, Indian culture teaches that the nature is the physical form of the God in us. “Viswam Vishnu”, without the nature ( food, water, air, fire) one can not live here. So we are indebted to the nature for her abundance, love and care; to express our gratitude we put all the fruits (representing Earth), Kanikonna (representing “Prana Vayu” which makes our life attractive and fragrant), light (Sun), coin(Lakshmi – job), holy text(Sarsawathy – education) and so on.
These are the main contributors who are helping us to survive and lead our life well.
So, we should really worship them. Today mankind lost the sense of gratitude because of our ego, it thinks that all our prosperity is because of “I”, who worked for it. But unfortunately we never asked or understood  who is this “I” in us. The great Rishis who realized that The “I” is existing because of the mercy and blessing of inner self (conscious space), and then the mother nature.
That moment they expressed their gratitude and love towards them. They started celebrating that and finally came to know “Vishu”, the celebration of gratitude and respect.
Hariom!
