HE also states, the ultimate aim of all penances and practices is to develop Bhakthi, the only way to reach Him.

Dear Devotee,

It is natural for any one to ask, why Hindu Gods are armored with so many weapons? An ignorant one may suspect, are our Gods preaching violence?

But think, the religions whose Acharyas preached non violence are actually involved in violence, whereas Hinduism believes in ‘Vasu Daiva Kudumbakam’.

Why there is such an irony?

It is because, Hinduism looks at the imperishable mind, not the perishable body and all these Godly weapons aim at the destruction of ignorance in all forms. When you root out ignorance from your mind, you become blessed.

So, please pass this message to all those people who ask you “why your God wears weapons?”.

First educate yourself and then educate others, so that the light of knowledge reaches every heart.
