When Ram was counselling Shabari, He explained about the nine types of worship to the Supreme. 1. To have an association with the Acharyas and learned people. 2. To chant the name of Ishta Devatha or Guru and have undeviating faith on the same. 6. To control and manage the senses and be good natured. 7. PRESENCE OF MIND

Ravan had left after abducting Sita through the skyway towards Lanka. The chieftain of eagles, Jatayu, tried to interrupt and gave resolute resistance to Ravan, but the all powerful Ravan cut off his wings and Jatayu fell on the ground duly hurt. When Ravan overflew the region of Kishkinda, Goddess Sita discarded some of Her ornaments and apparels so as to assure their fall on the ground to attract the attention of devotees of Ram. By this time, Ram and Lakshman were on the search for Goddess Sita. They saw a bleeding Jatayu on the ground. Ram placed the bird on his lap and Jatayu explained the whole scenario and he breathed his last in the lap of Ram and Ram carried out the final rituals of Jatayu. Here, Lord Ram's kindness is highlighted. Then Ram arrived at the hermitage of Shabari, who was waiting for Ram for ages. Subsequently Ram gave Moksha to Shabari and continued the journey of searching for Goddess Sita. All the series of incidents, highlighting the maturity of Ram even though He was undergoing major pressure of Goddess Sita's abduction. In spite of this calamity, Ram manages to counsel and give blessings to Jatayu, Shabari and all other devotees . A leader has to carry his followers and dependents in spite of his difficulties and problems. It is very relevant and is demonstrated in the above situations.

    GODDESS SITA ABDUCTION

Bharat came to the forest to convince Ram to become the king, but Ram refused to do so. Here Bharat's unconditional affection towards his brother is portrayed. In the forest, Surpanakha's enticement of Ram results in the arrival of Maricha. Clever and cunning demon King Ravan sent Maricha disguised as a golden deer to the hermitage of Ram. When Sita observed the deer she admired the softness of the skin and put tremendous pressure on Ram to get the beautiful deer. Ram became helpless and left Sita under the custody of Lakshman and started chasing the deer. Ram sent an accurate arrow on Maricha who fell on the ground and shouted "Lakshman, O Lakshman" to misguide Sita giving the illusion that Ram was in trouble. As a sensible brother, Lakshman knew the strength of Ram he said, "My brother can never be entrapped and he will never be in danger. “ However, Sita was insistent, harsh and commanded Lakshman to leave immediately to help Ram. Ravan realising the absence of both the brothers, approached Sita as a hermit and abducted her in his chariot and moved to Lanka. Here, Sita's misunderstanding of Ram's capability and strength, her harsh words on sincere brother Lakshman and Lakshman's violation of Ram's instructions of protecting Sita at any cost made the situation miserable. This teaches us to be wise in decision making and also not to be emotional in such scenario. You must have emotions but emotional decisions are not recommended.
