Sri Suka replied, “Through Daksha!”.
How creation was expanded through Daksha?
Before telling that, Bhagavatham gives a flash back here:
Prachethas, the ten sons of Pracheena Barhis, as per Lord Siva’s advice observed penance under water for a long time.
As Sage Narada advised, Barhis too became detached and hence the kingdom became ungoverned.
There was no farming and the entire Earth was covered with overgrown trees, and this scene agitated the Prachethas on their return from penance.
Their anger was fierce due to their long term penance and its fire engulfed the woods. As this storm and fire were destroying the trees, their Lord Chandra tried to pacify the Prachethas.
“Hey great men, it is not fair of you to destroy the immobile and hence defenseless trees.
As you aspire ‘Prajabhivridhi’, you are guardians to trees too. Bhagavan’s devotees should not hurt His creation. Besides, the plants and trees offer food!”
