Here Bhagavatham narrates an interesting story, where Daksha curses Sage Narada. It is as follows:

Daksha Prajapathy gave birth to ten thousand sons in his wife Asikni. They were called ‘Haryaswas’, who set off to perform penance according to their father’s will to increase offsprings.

They went to ‘Narayana Sarassu’ (the place where River Sindhu joins the sea) where holy men observe penance. In no time, their minds became free from ‘raga and dosha’ and slowly an inclination towards ‘Paramahamsa dharma’ dawned within.

Still they continued their penance for the sake of ‘Grihastha Dharma’.

But soon, they had a surprising visitor, none other than Sage Narada. It is no wonder that, when your mind becomes pure, you will get guidance from the Guru.

He said, “You are here to protect Mother Earth, yet you are trying to increase the population, unthinking about the limits of Earth. Isn’t it ignorance and pitiable?”.
