Hari Ohm. Mind attain perfection when it totally dissolves in awareness. As long as our mind is lost in indulgence or sensual happiness it cannot dissolve completely . Therefore until the mind find happiness in chanting Lord’s name ,vasanas will be casing hindrance to the spiritual pursuit. Don’t worry about dwaitha,manthra etc. Just surrender and practice. You will attain the goal.
