It is not a matter of purity or impurity. Temples are centers of high spiritual energy. We visit temples to help our energy levels move to higher conscience. However, the body or mind does not respond appropriately to the Temple environment during this time. So it is better for the health of the woman to stay away. This matter has now been widely discussed in the context of Sabarimala. It is important for our women to understand it is for their own benefit that they are asked to avoid visiting temples. Sanathanadharma has given more rights to women than any other religion. This restriction is also out of respect to her womanhood and motherhood. Hari Om
