There is no restrictions that we should worship Krishna only or we should not worship Devi etc.There are so many people who worship Devi too.However in your proximity you have seen people who worship Krishna. whether we worship Krishna or Devi the most important point is,whether we are developing concentration or stability in manthra which flows through us without any distraction of thoughts to other subjects. we need idol worship till we get established in the unhindered process of manthra chanting.So focus on manthra that alone will help us to transform our mind from negative feelings to positive power.
