According to Lord Krishna, caste is associated with the state of your mind.
It does not mean that people at that time understood the actual meaning.
Similarly ‘Mrigabali’ means annihilating the animalistic tendencies of your mind, not actually killing the poor animals as misinterpreted by many people.
