Dear Sreelathaji,
Vishu is celebrated as a Gratitude with a prayer for Blessings from Goddess (Lakshmi-Goddess who is represented through Flower, vegetables and fruits). Then Lord Narayanana (the idol or photo of Krishna) is representing the divine presence in all of us.
Today the world celebrates ‘thanks giving day,Mother’s day etc., but forget to thank the Mother Nature who nourished us and God who lives in us in the form of life. So, let us come together to express our sincere respect and gratitude by celebrating Vishu.
