after closing our eyes or without closing eyes,i see the picture of guruvayoorappn when always possible, and do japam in my mind is it called dhyanam.is it not true what is dhyanam?

Dhyanam has got different steps to climb.
Each step is true when we reach there; but when you step to next stage, that one is true.
(like in our education each class is true when we reach there, but still we have to go ahead).
