As I telehoned you this morning, here are the points gopichettan desires to clarify with Swami Udith Chaithanya. One of Sri Parama Sivan’s posture is with a deer held by its rear legs in one hand and an axe on the other hand. What is the “AITHIHYAM”. In Guruvayur north nadapura, one of the statues on the pillar is that. The ORIGINAL picture of Sri Guruvayurappan is MAHA VISHNU with the SHANKHU CHAKARA GADHA PUSHPAM. But generally it is known as Sri Krishna temple. Even the IDOL is decorated as Sri Krishan (with the flute, lying in aalila, wearing “pattu konam” etc on different days) and never have I seen as Maha Vishnu. WHY ??? In the picture of MAHA VISHNU the stem of the lotus extends down and is held between His toes. – Does it mean anything. None I approached confidently gave me a satisfactory answer.

According to our great sages like Veda Vyasa, all the pictures that we see have so much inner meaning.
Unfortunately we are not taught about it.
Regarding Siva with deer and axe … the meaning is “in every mind there is good and bad thoughts and actions”.
Siva represents goodness or auspiciousness and deer is for animalistic thoughts in every one.
To make one’s mind more strong and pure, one has to observe within to destroy negative thinking with right thinking (axe is our intelligence).
So spirituality is neither complaining on one’s own problems nor blaming anybody for it.
It is absolutely transforming a weak mind into a positive, strong mind; that is SIVA.
The meaning of Vishnu is “the conscious energy which is the source of every mind in every body”.
The lotus represents the mind (thoughts are its petals) from the conscious energy (in Vishnu) where all manifestation (creation)exist.
“Bala Krishna” to “Anathasayanam” are different stages of one’s own physical journey.
But everything happens in Vishnu only(study Gita 9th chapter 4th & 6th sloka).
