Praying to get something in life is not a Hindu concept, but of other Semitic religions. Hinduism teaches you there is tremendous power in you, that you have to attain. And that Divine power is GOD. So you don’t pray, but invoke that power in you. All the deities Rama, Krishna and Jesus who lived here should be looked upon as Gurus who showed you how to tap into and express such Divine qualities. Learn from their lives, modify and uplift your life. Prayer is just part of a blind faith that someone will “take care of things that you can’t handle”. Hari Om.
