Can any Guru or book , Scripture give us self knowledge. A guru can clear up our confusion? Can anyone clear up our confusion?

For a seeker, confusion alone leads to conviction.
The more confused one gets, the more he explores to get clarity.
There is a big difference between doubt and confusion.
Doubt is negative as it stems from distrust of the whole thing and so you drop your enquiry.
But confusion is positive as it is the result of comparing between opposing perceptions.
Then you go deeper into your own mind and then true clarity dawns.
So, a true Guru encourages confusion and helps you solve it yourself to advance more.
