Dear Chaithanya ji, Hindu is supposed to be a vegetarian ?.In the stories i heard,our gods used to go for hunting.Please give me a reasonable replay.

Dear Sandeepji,
It is true that our character and behaviour can be influenced by what we eat. The person who eats non-veg food may behave arrogantly. Regarding the story that Rama used to eat non-vegetarian food, it is because of the non-availability of any other food in the forest. Those times the Kings used to keep their body and mind fit for any unexpected events as they used to hunt in the forest. So mind will be always ready for handling any war situations.
But be assured that for a Sadhak, only vegetarian food is advisable.
