Dear Swamiji, As per Gita Krishna knows about all the before-lifes of Arjuna and if so, Krishna defenitely would have seen the future as well. If thats the case, then he knew about all the war, destruction, death that were about to take place in this world. Yes, free will was given to man, the ability to think and act, but why would God(Krishna) Let all this havoc and pandemonium reign. ´Why wasnt anything done about it rather than waiting for man to realise his faults through trial and error. Also if th existence of Krishna is real, then is there something opposite of that too that exist here. Yes, I relaise that the concept of Krishna is not responsible for the day to day life of a human nor he is involved in granting boons or pay backs. But how could he just let this happen and all that he could do was send his message through stories or through teachings to Arjuna.

When God incarnates as human, HE lives the life of a human to teach us how to face situations. Krishna tried every possible action and logic to avoid the war. In the battle field, he chose not to fight for anyone. But Arjuna, at a time of utter confusion came to Krishna asking what his responsibility was. It was Krishna’s duty then to advice him to do his part in the cosmos, not worrying about the outcomes of it. This applies to our lives today as well. We have to do our duties to the best of our conscience and abilities and live the rest to the “uncertainty” that follows, which Brihadaranyaka Upanishad says is DIVINE. There is a cosmic rule that directs everyone and everything. The Supreme Intelligence that Krishna personifies is only a witness to this DIVINE COSMIC WHEEL of life, death and new life process. IT does not interfere to stop anything. Hari Om.
