Dear Swamiji, as u said these are the beliefs that we followed to celeberate onam. But what i understood is something different which is as follows: Mahabali ruled mahabalipuram in AP and they celeberated onam there. When Parasuraman dig out kerala from sea and made 108 villages and bought brahmins from AP and made charge of these villages and made many temples. Thus brahmins became landlords of Kerala and they continued celeberating onam here also. If i am wrong in my understanding, pls correct. Tks.

Hari Ohm . Man make history through logic.A few intellectual people get into arguments about who,when,where etc on historical stories. Hinduism is not a story telling religion like other Semitic religions. Stories are just to make people think the essence and values of life. Please study the Bhagawatham , Mahabali charitham .That will open your eyes more profoundly into the subject.
