It is not the Gotra and rituals that make your life perfect. It is the culture and behaviour that makes your life perfect. You can see that there are so many marriages among so many castes and religions. They are living happily and it is absolutely their character that adds happiness to their relation. There are many arranged marriages where there is no understanding, love, care and share!
