Dear Nishanth,
Brahmacharya is the student phase of life when an individual has to devote oneself to learning whatever is required for a successful later life.
Grihastashrama is the phase when one leads a family life, supporting parents, wife and children. It is in this stage that you enjoy material life. the Grihasta or householder has to carry out his/her duties towards parents, spouse and children and society. They also have to perform religious duties.
Vanaprastha is the stage when you learn to develop a disinterest in material possessions and live a detached life. You will pass your responsibilities to your next generation and engage in a spiritual life.
Sanyasa is the stage when you leave attachment with all material things, and live in constant thoughts of God.
