Dear Swamiji, Naivedyam, Payasam, trimadhuram etc..offerred to Brahma-radhassu is not used by devotees and giving to birds. What is the reason behind this. Pls advs.

When you eat someone’s left over you are acquiring a part of their energy. What is offered to Bhagavan is hence taken as “Prasadam” meaning blessed by the Divine. In our tradition, we accept the positive and negative in nature equally. That is why offerings are made to Brahma- Radhassu kind of negative energies that are contained in the temple premises. However, the energy they offer is not worth acquiring for humans. Hence its given to lower creatures in nature like birds or animals. Hari Om.
