Dear Swamiji, Namasta Swamiji. Thanks for your reply. As per Bhagwatgita we should maintain calm in spite all adversities and insult to attain peace of mind and happiness. I am in agreement that we cannot change the attutide and behaviour of external forces. However, in Maha Bharatam,the great and highly pious and divine figure like Panjali made a vow to take revenge for the cruel acts meted out to her by the cruel Duriyodana and his men (vastadhara), but we have been preeched in all spirutual teachings by the great seers and rishies to love everybody and show mercy even to those of our enemies who had harmed us and not to retaliate. However, Panjali’s Sabatam appears to be somewhat “tit for tat”. Swamji, I am nobody to comment on the act of pious and noble personality like Panjali who was great devotee of Shri Krishna Bhavan. Definitlely her Vow must had some meaning and purpose. Would be you please be kind enough to expalin the logic behind the same. With warm regards,

Dear Ramaniji,
Please understand that our intelligent Masters were conveying so many messages through all these stories.
Each character represents the various mind patterns and emotions.
The entire “Mahabharatham” depicts stories of actions, reactions, justifications, arguments and counter arguments.
If you follow the thread of all stories you will really get confused.
You may even get convinced about Shakuni’s opinions and join his side.
Only with a truly meditative mind, you can remain unbiased while reading Mahabharatham.
That is why, Veda Vyasa was still unhappy after writing such a great epic as no one seemed to benefit from its reading.
He realized that only devotion to the Lord can show the right path for a seeker and thus Srimad Bhagavatham was born!
