Dear Swamiji, Temples are for Gods/deities. In many temples, souls are placed as a protection. When “deva prasanam” is conducted, it is seen that devadas day to day affairs and freedom are affected die to the presence of the souls and “parihara kriyakal” has to be performed to remove these souls for which huge amount has to be spent. More over , how can souls be forcefully placed in temples or houses as they are travelling in search of a new suitable body. Will it affect its journey. Pls advs.

When we say soul, we are referring to a conscious entity+energy body. When we say a deity is in a temple, does it mean the energy is only there? Same is the status of a soul. A lot of misconceptions have been promoted by astrologers. Deities are not limited or restricted by the presence of any other energy bodies. That is the reason to maintain a temple consecrated in a certain way with mantra, tantra, japam etc. It is when the positive vibe of a place diminishes that the lower energies there dominate. This can be avoided by regular simple mantra chanting and maintaining the Divine atmosphere of the temple with nithya pujas. No high expense “pariharams” needed. It is important the Hindu society learns our scriptures properly, stops wasting money out of ignorance and focuses more on charitable activities. Hari Om.
