Mahabharatham is the great epic displaying all the dramas that happens in human mind through various characters.
Sage Vyasa was not satisfied after writing it as he was longing for something more.
Then he wrote Bhagavatham, the story of Bhagavan and ultimately became contended for doing what was to be done.
It shows that nothing can give you real joy other than devotion towards the Lord.
