Dear Swamiji, A brass vessel has to clean many times to remove its dirt. Like that a soul has to be cleansed many times to remove its past life samskara or dirty vasanas. It can be removed with meditation, pranayamam and yoga etc. Apart from, we can seek the help of external forces like sudharsana homam, mruthyajaya homam etc where a lot of items burnt telling our name and star. In temples also archanas and pushpanjali etc done in our name and star. What is wrong if we do it with external poojaris instead of doing self, if the purpose is served. For eg: instead of finding out our disease our own and treating our own, if we go to a doctor, he can solve our disease faster. Pls advs.
