Dear Swamiji, From your discourse on Mahabali – it is clear that God himself appeared in person to test Mahabali’s love by giving him some hardships.The lesson here is to accept everything while holding on to God and nothing else. But in the Mahabharata, why did Krishna ask the Pandavas to go to war with the Kauravas and not tell them to simply accept the injustice of the Kauravas? In our lives, God is not going to directly come in the form of Vamana or any other form to test us. He will probably test our love for Him through other human beings who will cause us some trouble. In such cases, do we accept God’s will as Mahabali did or fight for justice like the Pandavas?

Dear Sindhu,
Actually, Lord Vishnu was not punishing Mahabali, but blessing him. Bhagavathamrutham explains it very clearly.
In the case of Mahabharatham, Krishna was trying to avoid a destructive war at HIS best level.
For Kshatriyas, yielding and accepting an insulting defeat from enemies is more dreadful than death itself!
So, to protect Dharma, Pandavas had no way other than having a war with Kauravas!
In our practical life, a strong mind purified with Sadhana will guide us to recognize God’s will at all times.
