Dear Swamiji, I have read your statement that emotional clinging to any form of God is not helping in spiritual progress. However my understanding is that Bhagvatam espouses that any form of attachment to God leads to liberation, example being that of the Gopis. The gopis did not practice meditation, serve a Guru, etc. Even if love of the Gopis is on a very high platform, the example of Kubja shows that even baser emotions when directed to God can lead to good. Is my understanding correct ? Is it incorrect to take literal meaning ? Why ? Shouldn’t literal meaning be given more importance that symbolic meaning ? Is it that the priti type of bhakti described in Bhagavatam can be experienced only after one reached platform of realization of Brahman. Is that correct ?

Bhakthi is the strongest ‘Bhavam’ that gives you ‘Yogam’ with Bhagavan.
Our mind needs a form to lean on, but then we attain the formless Truth.
