Dear Swamiji, i read your reply to a question regarding how souls could be invited (avahanam). i ask a simple question – how deities invited in temples by priest? from his chaitanya. Similarly parents chromosomes are there in each and every one and can be invited from self. Nobody knows what happens after death. From the scriptures we know something. In Garuda purana, Bhagavan Vishnu replies to Garuda’s queries about souls after death. In Smrithi also it is explained as below: “jeevo mrithasya charathi swadhabi” “sesha kriyadi rahitha pretha karma bahishkrita pisacha deha masrithya pisithasi bhavathyaso”. Since these are the facts, why can’t one spent one hour in 365 days for their parents who have given birth to us. If we think all negatively, the results also will be negative. i know many families pathetic condition now who have neglected all these rituals..
