Dear swamiji, It is said in ramayana that lord sreeram knew that sita will be taken by ravana. Then Why didnt he take any steps to protect sita? Lord rama should have killed ravana just like that. Also, as in our case – humans, we wont listen to what fools say. Then why lord rama, abandoned sita? Lord knew that sita is pure. She even proved herself by doing agni shudhi. Just if some fools say about his wife, why he should leave her? I dont find any logic in that. Kindly explain.

For Rama, the unquestionable authority of the ruler was more important than his personal happiness.
Moreover, HE knew Sita would be very happy and peaceful in the Satsang of Sage Valmiki and His children would grow up well too.
