Dear Swamiji,please clarify my following doubt.Is it better for a woman to work,earn money than being a housewife.. I am a mother of 2 kids ..one of 9 years old and another is 2.5yrs…I am not working right now.I was qualified B tech and have worked in a couple of private firms for about 8 years ..I stopped working 7years back when my elder son was 2 yrs old..I am happy that I am able to take care of them better than my mother as she was working when myself and my sister were kids..Swamiji..but still have a guilty feeling that I could have earned money and more prestige in front of my kids..Now they are happy and comfortable that I am home..But in future will they feel that their mother would have earned money..Will they they feel more respect for me in future if I am a working mother,,.In that case I have to move back to work shortly..it is a really confusing question to me..kindly clarify my doubt..please..

Hari Ohm. Your dedication and dedication to your family is really appreciable.Many women like you have this kind of dilemma whether they should work or concentrate on family alone. Actually there is no difficulties in handling family and job simultaneously if you have sufficient mental stamina for balancing both.The important thing is that you should definitely spend quality time with your children. You shall not be bringing home the stress of work or hurt you happened to get during any interactions , invariably. If you fail to do this the environment at home will be spoiled due to unnecessary shouting at the children or fights with your spouse. you shall not be blaming anyone for your own inefficiency or lack of effectiveness. Your peaceful interactions are essential for your children to become excellent citizens. You should find peaceful time for entertaining them with stories of puranas and encourage them to learn various skills.Your present state of mind of having guilt and confusion will not help any one . You may take up work and look after your kids too as is done by many women.In any case you need to have mental strength.
