dear swamiji, Was the kurukshetra war a Dharmayudha, as indicated in sloka 1 of Bhagvat gita ”dharmakshetre kurukshetre”?Many of the actions on either sides were clearly not in conformity with the ethical standards, although there is no doubt that the end result is for the establishment of Dharma. Does it mean that for the establishment of dharma, use of some Adharma also is right. In other words, shouldn”t the means also be as important as the end itself.Kindly clarify this doubt of mine

Dear Muralidharan,
when Adharma overpowers the established Dharma sometimes, some kind of Adharma should also be appiled to reestablish Dharma. So the ultimate pupose is the establishment of Dharma. Even in our times, to destruct the evil of some countries, when war happens, some innocent people will also die. The objective is not to kill innocent people. That is a part of war. Now, our Indian culture is neither on the side of Dharma or Adharma. It says you love God who is the Self in you and ultimately your love will be expanded to all the beings. That Dharma is called the Spiritual Dharma.
