Dear swamiji, what is the difference between ayyappan & sathavu. Is there any intention about theses two divine in vedas.

Dharma Sasthavu was the divine incarnation in SathyaYuga manifested as the combination of energies of Lord Siva(static) and Lord Vishnu(dynamic).
It is mentioned in the story of ‘Mohini’ after ‘Palazhi Madhanam’.
Dharma Sastha lived with His brothers Ganapathy and Subrahmanya in Kailasam and married Poorna and Pushkala.
Ayyappan or Manikandan is the same combination of divine energies manifesting in KaliYuga.
He was a Brahmachari and transcending all the eighteen steps of body-mind complex He merged into Dharmasatha. That is the magnanimity of Chaithanyam in the temple.
(Sabarimala temple was there even before Manikantan was born).
What we learn from this story, is the merger of mind into Chaithanyam.
Here devotee and God are ONE and even called by the same name.
That is ‘THATHWAMASI’.
