Dear Swamiji What is the significance of Shaligram found in the Gandagi river?Does it conserve more energy because it is spherical like Linga? Are there Swayambhu idols? Are not all the idols man made even though we do not know when it was made? Kindly explain. Thank you Swamiji. I very much like your discourses.

Dear Shantha,
Salagram is a particular black and generally round (some are not) granite stone.
This contains more positive energy.
It is originating at Dhamodhar Kund -Nepal which is nearer to Gadaki river.
A smll insect (like a reptile) creates a small hole in the small stone & carves a CHAKRA. inside the salagram.
There must be a chakra, hence these stones are considered as the representative of Vishnu or Devi.
Scientifically it is prooved that these stones contain more positive energy.
Where there is positive energy, God’s presence is felt.
If you do regular pooja on salagram your house and mind will be filled with more positive energy.
