Dear Swamiji, While Bhagavathi seva pooja is going on at home, children used to peel lotus flowers for the pooja chanting lalitha sahasra namam or vishnu sahasranamam. Once priest told them if u are peeling lotus flowers chanting mantras, that flowers will become nirmalyam and cannot be used further. Swamiji, is there any logic in this. Our understanding was that when we showered flowers at the feet of the deity chanting manthras, then only those flowers will become nirmalyam (once used). Pls comment.

Most of the poojaris know only rituals, not spiritual powers.
That is why Krishna emphasizes that, “if you love me sincerely then you worship me and I will take it lovingly”.
So ignore those comments and go on chanting the mantras while doing such divine work.
