Does Bramacharya means self-discipline or self-control?
Posted by Nikilesh C. S. on June 16, 2012
Dear Nikileshji,
It means Freedom from the imaginary thoughts of indulgence. We lose our time and energy by spending in the foolish imaginary world.
When one is able to drop it and divert his mind in the positive field, that is called Brahmacharya. This word is generally misunderstood and interpreted as abstaining from sexual dealings. Sex is a lower feeling of the imaginary mind; the more one does meditation, that much this energy will transform to divine energy, where these feelings will not create an inner disturbance.
