Dear Sanoj,
It is natural to get stuck in the path of spirituality on trivial problems like what image to worship.
Understand, the important thing is to feel immense love for the Lord who resides in us as the force which governs and guides us.
Feel grateful to HIM and do sadhana and namajapam as a means of expressing your love for Him.
You may worship on any form; just know that God is beyond all forms.
Fear of God arises out of ignorance and ego. Even if there comes adverse circumstances in your life accept it as His prasadam knowing that it is for your own good ultimately.
