Narayana kavacham comes in Bhagavatham 6th canto (skandham), 8th chapter.
That is an invocation prayer which has an inbuilt mental power to face all the consequences. When Lord Indra was undergoing some trouble his Guru Viswaroopa advised this mantra to Indra.
