Hari Om, Dear Swamiji. This is what I have understood since childhood – All that is happening to me, both good and bad, is because of the consequences of my actions in my previous births. At the same time, I also learnt that nothing happens without God’s Will. Not even a blade of grass can move without God’s Will. So am I right to infer that if all that happens is God’s Will, then both my karma and the consequences I am facing are also God’s Will? If that is the case, then could you please help me understand why it is said that God is only a Witness to the events happening to us and that He does not do anything to us except Love us. I am not saying that God is to be blamed or praised for whatever happens to us. I am only seeking to understand and clarify. I have been wanting to know an answer to this for some time now. I am a devotee of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba and I read His messages on Sai Inspires which is emailed by the Heart to Heart Team every day. I have not got the answer to this doubt yet. Thank you, Swamiji. Hari Om.

Dear Ambikaji,
If you are ready to observe your own life, which you lived, will be a great Holy Book where one can learn greater spiritual lesseons.
From childhood onwards you are doing good or bad actions either consciously or emotionly. If you do something conciously your mind feels proud about it. On the other hand, if you act out of emotion and temptation same mind regrets up on it. Now tell me, where is the role for God in you life?
We unfortuntly bring God when we fail in our life. God is not a person and a witness of your life, God is the substance that gives you existence. If you consider your intellect which analyses your action as God, then you can say God is a witness.
So, understand, our mind is totaly independent and we have intellegence too.
If we can live our life by using this wisdom you can see the grace of divinity throughout your life.
Then you will say, God is not a mere witness, God alone is flowing through me.
So allow God to flow through you. Where there is happiness, strength and a smiling face, you are allowing God to flow.
The choice is yours.
HariOm!
