Dear Arunji,
Whatever your ancestors worshiped, were all for bringing auspiciousness and divine grace to the members of the family.
Unfortunately instead of loving the divine power we started fearing that.
Understand that the divine energy in the deities worshiped in your house is the same divine energy in you.
If you do the rituals with full dedication, involvement and with feeling, you will be benefited positively.
Otherwise, it is only time and money wastage.
