Hari Om! Pujya Swamiji, In our Puranas some Maharshis are depicted as short tempered. They even curse the people who insult them. Even when children play mischief the curse is to the extent of destruction of the full ‘kulam’. Similar instances of ‘Brahmana shapam’ also is seen. I thought the Maharshis, Munis and real Brahmanas should be above all these negative impulses. They should not have got hurt when people insult them. Perhaps there might be some inner meaning behind description of such events which I have not yet understood. Swamiji! can you please explain the inner meaning, if any, of these things. Dear Ravindranji,
See, normally we see their behaviour only, but never see their attitude.
They actually protect a person from self destruction by cursing.
They also give the way to get out of the curse.
