Hari Om Swamiji !! I have few queries regarding Karma..Is doing karma all about focusing on one’s own assigned duty and not taking any initiatives for any other activities/ not helping out others unless being asked to do so by concerned person. Can you please throw some light on the same . Hari Om

There is karma and there is karmayoga. Bhagavad Gita advises you to take the path of karmayoga. In karmayoga, the focus is not on the job, but on the higher purpose. It advises you to embrace the world as your own, so you will only do the best for everyone, just as you would do for yourself. It makes you more caring and understanding. You will involve in things only to the extend that your involvement is positive. Hari Om.
