Hari Om Swamiji My husband is an IT professional . He is too grossly involved in his work and rarely involves in our family of two kids. He s always before his laptop and tries to be away from family. I listen to your discourses and try to keep my calm but at times I burst out. Ialso ask him to listen to your discourses but he has no time Should I remain quite or discuss things with him, which often turns out to argument. I feel kids too have no attachment with him.

We seem to forget that “we work to live, not live to work”. This issue unfortunately is very common among professionals today. Computers seem to take all our time and we have become gadget addicts a lot. We have no time for family, but spend hours on social media and phone chats. Now to address your issue, there is no point in fighting with your husband on this, because he looks at it as “his job”, but forgets he is not an employee alone. Fighting with him will only drain your energy. Instead you have to step up to the role of a father too. Be there for your children or when they grow up, they won’t be there for you. Every relation is build on interaction, give and take, and mutuality. Relations just don’t happen, we have to build and maintain it. Your children are your priority now, because they need care. Don’t feel like a victim of a difficult situation, but feel the power and strength of a mother. Chant Namashivaya when you feel upset. Hari Om.
