HARI OM SWAMIJI !Thanks a lot SWAMIJI for your blessings. I want to clarify one doubt swamiji. I have a very strong desire to possess a gadget. But it is not possible for my parents to afford it all at once. So i myself decided to save some money (pocket money) and when i collect sufficient money I will buy the gadget. Every day I think of that particular gadget and so my desire remains constant for it. I have heard you say many times that desire will push us towards ignorance. Now what should I do Swamiji. I am really very happy to talk with you swamiji. You and Lord Krishna are my BEST friends.

Dear Gopalakrishnan,
Desire can be handled in three ways.
First is, not having a desire at all, it is a natural, peaceful state of mind.
Second is, dropping the desire through Sadhana.
Third is, transcending the desire by getting it done.
When you get the desire fulfilled, you may realize that it can not give you long lasting happiness and you will want more!
So, whenever you get attracted by something, ask yourself if you really need it and will that give happiness to you.
If yes, go ahead!
HariOm!
