Its meaning is that “Our evolution starts from the complete, powerful, total, supreme intelligent spiritual energy. That energy has no birth and death and it can not be destroyed”. When your mind is praying through yoga, meditation and pranayama you can soak your mind with this spiritual energy. Then you are free from sorrow and fear.
