Hari Om Swamiji, The scriptures say that the kurushetra war is a dharama war where the war is being fought between dharma and adharma. However, we see that pandavas and their side under the influence or suggestions by Sri Krishna had to do many things which we term as adharma to bring down the kaurava army. For eg, how Bhishma, Drona, Karna, Dhuriyodhana and all were killed. Also Sri Krishna says that your goal if dharmic is more important that your path to reach to your goal to the Pandavas. So how can we say that the kurushetra war is a war for dharma? and also is it fine that we follow few adharmas as long as our goal is a dharmic one? Looking forward for your explanations. Thank you!

The goal, the path and the means all have to be dharmic. It is important to consider the Kurukshetra war in the background of what happened several years before that. The war was the final event of a series of injustices done to the Pandavas. It was a Dharmic war as the aim was to restore Dharma that was long lost in Hastinapur. It was when the Kauravas broke all rules at the war field as well that Krishna advises Pandavas to proceed. The Supreme Intelligence of the Universe works in such a way that it periodically intervenes to erase all injustices from the face of earth. Krishna in Kurukshetra just symbolizes that. Hari Om.
