Hari om , swamiji Usually me & my freind do little service by giving rice medicines ,clothes ,monetary help to the needy .But our spiritual guide once told by doing this kind of service we take the karmas of those people and it will cause disease or other mishaps in our life .is it so ?is it against our dharma .pls clarify on the basis of scriptures so that we can renew our confidence , belief and move forwward.we dont have any personal aims behind this . we do this only for mental purity and to get god’s grace .

Dear Krishnan,
Miserable people may be suffering from the Karmaphalam of their bad Karms.
But, it is our Dharma to serve the needy!
As long as your service to the needy is “Nishkama” Karma you are doing a good service and you will always be blessed!
While doing such karma you should not get attached with the problems and people you are serving as it may pull you down!
