Dear Jithin,
The best way is to feel that you are already close to the Lord; and in fact, you are!
The doubting mind does not let you feel the presence of Lord!
Along with your japam, meditation etc. you should remember HIM before you do any act and with your whole heart, surrender
the intention, efforts and result before HIS lotus feet.
Do it sincerely and feel that you are an instrument only and HE is working through you!
This will help you to feel ONENESS with God!
