Hari Om Swamiji!! A small doubt. Y do we put kumkum/bhasmam on our forehead after we pray?Even i have seen my grandfather putting bhasmam after his evening prayers and that too with three lines on his forehead, and also bhasmam on the upper hands (arms). Y is it so swamiji?

Dear Raji,
There are scientific as well as philosophical meaning in that.
The real bhasmam can protect your heath by absorbing the toxins in the body.
Second, it is a remembrance that the body is moving towards ash; before that you turn towards God.
