Hari Om Swamiji!!! Again coming in front of u with another doubt. Swamiji, wat is the reason behind pola (when someone dies in our family)?y we are not supposed to light the lamp or visit temple when there is pola?can u please explain to me in detail?Actually when we light the lamp, we are bringing in positive energy in the home right? then y the elders tell us not to light the lamp during those pola days? Dear Rajithaji,
There is nothing wrong in lighting lamp and reciting “Nama japam” .
If there is something wrong in that, why Krishna insisted Bheeshmacharya to recite Vishnu Sahasranamam when he lost all his family members.
So don’t mix up with culture of the society and individual responsibility.
Society or temple culture is a public matter; so, when some body visits temples during PULA time, people will look at them sympathetically.
To avoid this, better avoid social functions during that time.
But remembering God is our personal previlege and responsibility.
That we should do irrespective of good and bad experiences.
