Hari om Swamiji… Why do our Holy Scriptures like Manusmrithi have sookthams degrading shoodras? .. But it do have sookthams that appreciate them too.. Why is that so…Manusmrithi say that shoodra shd not hear/study Vedas and if that happens so, his ears should be sealed with lead???!! And it also says that one should accept param dharma even from a chandala… Why such a contradiction?? Any possibilities of intrude from Brahmins?? Thank you…

According to our Scriptures, shoodra means ‘sochati ithi shroodha’. The one who always complains, never lives a disciplined life and always sees the weak side of his mind.
Such a person, even if he listens to divine thoughts, may insult the person who teaches him.
