Hari Om, I have heard Geetha discourses several times and read the slokas and its meaning by different authors. My doubt is that had Lord Krishna persuaded Kauravas persistantly like He did with Arjuna and adviced them the same way the battle of Kurukshetra would not have taken place. Why Lord Krishna insisted the battle to take place without trying to avoid it by giving proper advice to Kauravas ?It appears while thinking in modern day that Lord Krishna was in favour of peace to exist .What are your comments?

Dear Surendranath,
Even if Krishna advised Kauravas, they would not follow HIS words (in Mahabharatham, you can see that many times HE tried to avoid war and reestablish peace).
Especially in Bhagavath Geetha, it is a mind management advice that “How you should act without getting influenced by the emotions and sympathies and guilty consciousness of others’ acts”.
So, action can be done either by allowing the situation to influence or strongly keeping the situation apart from the mind. This technique is taught in Geetha.
